Purpose: To create a professional digital resume for future reference for school districts when you are pursuing employment. This can be a base for you to develop into a professional resume. It is yours, and will always be available.

This is a requirement for ED 200 and will receive a major project grade out of 100 points. This is an ongoing project for a large part of the course.

Go to Wikispaces.com , log in, and create a new wiki titled first initial and last name like jsmith. Make the wiki protected so that only you can edit it, but others can view it.

At some point in this week you should type your first initial and last name and create a link to your wiki so that I can access it from this page. The list is located below the instructions on this page. You can make your wiki private so no one can change it, but others can see it. Suggestions are listed below to include. The list is not complete. Be creative and sell yourself, but by all means be honest. What is it about you that would put you above other applicants for the same job. Make this wiki convince me that you would be a good employee for the school district to which you are applying.

See Google docs for resume ideas if needed.

Things to include:

  • Photo of yourself-professional looking or at least respectable
  • Personal profile
  • Education
  • Philosophy of education
  • Employment experience
  • Awards/recognition
  • Service/community service
  • Skills
  • Tech skills and projects
  • Post any work/projects
  • Links to things you've read or done or visited.
  • Videos of you in classroom situations or in volunteer and community service work
  • Other photos to make the site interesting-are you doing observations. Are you doing things in the classroom there? Get pictures!
